Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Church! In the Name of our risen Lord Jesus, we are pleased to welcome you to our website. Hopefully, you can visit our community of faith in person someday. We have prepared this website to help visitors to this site get acquainted with St. Paul Church.
St. Paul Church has been serving the community of Spring Grove in the Name of Jesus since 1880, though our roots go back further, into the Civil War era. We are a place where faith and tradition meet the challenges of this age, that we may bear witness to the truth of Christ.
The center of our life is our worship space. It is truly unique to this area, a "sacred space" where one feels the presence of God just upon entering the sanctuary. Our worship is the classic liturgy of the western Church, centered in the means of grace God has given to nurture faith: hearing God's Word and receiving the Lord in the sacrament of the altar. Worship involves our entire being: body, soul, and spirit. Thus, we rise to sing and pray to God, sit to hear His Word, and come forward to receive Christ in the sacrament.
Through Holy Baptism we are all members of the Church of Jesus Christ. So, we invite all baptized Christians to receive Holy Communion. If you receive Communion in your Church, we welcome you to receive it here. By Baptism, also, all children are members of God's people, and so we welcome children of all ages at our services. A nursery is provided for those with young children who prefer not to have them in the service.
