PARISH CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PROGRAM
Perhaps you have heard the commercials for York College on the radio, which always end with the question: "What did you learn today?" That is a good question to put to Christians, too. Being a Christian requires continual growth in faith, so that we will be fully mature in Christ (Ephesians 4). There will be several educational opportunities for you this summer at St. Paul Church. They are listed below.
Click here for a survey that you can print out and take to the church office or send via email to detail what your needs in spiritual growth are, so that we can design programs and classes to respond to your spiritual needs and help you growth in faith and following Christ.
We encourage children and adults to attend both worship and Sunday School. We worship the faith we are taught, and we learn the faith we worship.

Holy Communion Education
Our children receive instruction in the meaning and practice of Holy Communion yearly, during Lent. This course of instruction requires parents to do a home study lesson with their children, and then meet with the pastor. First Communion instruction is not based on age, but when parents think their children are interested in learning about and receiving communion and can understand basic instruction on the sacrament. Contact Pr. Biles for more information.

Confirmation Ministry
Confirmation ministry marks the completion of the parent’s promise to raise and educate their children in the Christian faith and the beginning of the young person’s acceptance of responsibility for their own growth in faith. Our program is a three-year program for youth in grades 7-9; it consists of the following elements: Sunday School classes, participation in worship, service projects, two confirmation camps at Camp Nawakwa, which are organized by the Hanover Conference. Catechetical students are confirmed by Affirmation of Baptism (Lutheran Book of Worship, p. 198ff) on Pentecost Sunday. See Pastor Biles for more information.
